Spring Seasonal Dinner with Renzaglia Wines
Dates: 11 October 2025
Time: 6.00pm start
An Evening to Remember at Essington Park
Seasonal Dinner - a celebration of Spring
Sam and I are thrilled to invite you to an unforgettable evening of feasting and celebration at our beautifully transformed shearing shed at Essington Park.
This second collaboration is a true labor of love, where I will craft a menu that highlights the fresh, organic produce from our own garden and the bounty of our local growers. Sam has thoughtfully selected wines from his collection to perfectly complement each dish, ensuring a dining experience that delights the senses.
I have created a sample menu below.
Our magical evening begins with an
Entree of Twice-baked leek and gruyere soufflé, served with tender Essington Park pea tendrils, spring herbs, and delicate asparagus tips.
Followed by:
Slow-braised lamb shoulder, accompanied by minted spring peas, Dutch carrots, and buttery Kifler potatoes.
And for a sweet finale:
Meringue with strawberry, Chambord, and elderflower cream, a dessert as light and fragrant as the surrounding gardens.
Of course, no evening would be complete without cheese. We’ll offer a selection of:
Bright and sharp fresh goat’s cheese
A creamy, indulgent brie
Grapes handpicked from the nearby Renzaglia vines
The wines will be unveiled throughout the evening, and you will have the opportunity to purchase your favourites before we gather around the fire pit to close the night in the company of new and old friends.
We begin at 6.00 PM, and we can’t wait to welcome you to this special celebration of good food, fine wine, and great company.
With love,
Simmone x

About Renzaglia Wines
Mark’s parents, Guy and Betty Renzaglia planted their first grape vines on their new vineyard site in Alto Pass, Illinois in 1982. At the time, Alto Pass was a dry county (no alcohol production or sales allowed) and the grape industry of Illinois was virtually non-existent. It’s safe to say there was some considerable push back to the idea of the establishment of a vineyard and winery in the area. During the early years of Alto Vineyards, Mark and his “Aussie wife” Sandy got a taste of the challenge and gratification of the grape and wine industry as they spent their youthful energy assisting “Alto” in its early development.
Fast forward three generations and wine making has entwined itself within Renzaglia DNA. In 1997, back in Australia, Mark and Sandy planted their first small acreage of grapes. This became their Bella Luna vineyard in the O’Connell Valley, NSW. There were no other vineyards in the O’Connell Valley at that time, as was the case for Guy and Betty in Alto Pass.
Nowadays, Sam is on board full time in the vineyard and winery. His passion for the grape and wine industry is undeniable and the future of the operation is bright.
The Bella Luna Vineyard has more than doubled in size since 2020; leases have commenced at the Mt Panorama Estate and Winooka Park Vineyards and the wine is now all being produced in their new winery building overlooking the original vine plantings.
Family owned and operated winery/vineyard located at O’Connell, New South Wales. Offering boutique wines that are full of life and passionately produced.
