Back in the day, ravenous shearers gathered here to be nourished – today all our guests do. Make and share delicious country meals and have great conversation around our large pine table. This is a cook’s kitchen, so we make sure there’s always good quality local olive oil, vinegar, freshly ground coffee, lovely teas, salt, pepper and spices – plus all the utensils you’ll need. The old meat keep houses the fridge, freezer, and pantry. So go ahead and cook up a storm on the beautiful oven and gas burners. Of course, there’s a dishwasher and coffee plunger, toaster, and kettle – everything to sustain you.

Take the weight off your feet and cosy up around the original fireplace. Firewood is abundant and the fire is set ready for lighting when you arrive. There are many books to read and little nooks to relax. We don't have a TV as we prefer to gaze into the fire and talk – or have a laugh playing one of the many board games. (Of course, there’s free and efficient Wi-Fi if you want to stream entertainment to your device.)

When it’s time for seclusion or reflection, retire to this self-contained space set off from the Shearers’ Mess. Pluck a book from our extensive collection or roll out a yoga mat and take a deep breath. Sit by a roaring fire with your favourite glass of red and settle into our comfy leather couches, with cushions and throw rugs for extra comfort. If you would like to dine by the fire in the woolshed, a table for ten is available and a full kitchen is there also for your use.

Enjoy pre-and post-dinner drinks and conversation around the firepit. All firewood, fire lighters, and marshmallows are supplied. Cue a night sky quilted in stars.

Cook under the big sky at our old bush barbie. You’re welcome to pick from our productive herb and vegetable garden to concoct a cocktail or cook a special dish. There’s an outdoor sink and workbench for cleaning and prepping and a table under the pergola for dining outside.

Please keep your meal scraps and feed the chickens. Our girls like to roam and scratch around and they're very social. Do ensure they’re tucked in and perching at night and the chicken coop is closed to keep Mr Fox out. Please collect the eggs each morning to cook up your hearty country breakfast.
